Kecskemét in a Rush
Organised trips- gotta love’em! But only if it’s organised and planned by me, on my own pace, in my own direction and on my own time. I mean, what’s the point of visiting a city if you have one hour to “visit” it. One hour, in which you don’t know what to do first: find a toilet, eat something, buy some food and drinks for later, or visit the sights nearby. Anyways, it was a trip organised by my university, and I totally get it that we had a tonne of things on our schedule besides this, but then maybe we should have made some more time for this lovely city, or we should have just left Kecskemét for another time and occasion. We quickly rushed through the city, managed to do everything enlisted above, but of course the sightseeing wasn’t much of a big deal. Anyways, here are a few quickshots along the way, and I hope I get to visit it again, and actually see it this time.
P.S: Did you know that one of the main sights of the town, a beautiful art nouveau edifice, hosting a beautiful art gallery is actually called Tawdry Palace? 🙂
