UNESCO: Nessebar Old Town

The ancient city of Nessebar, originally a Thracian settlement constructed more than 3,000 years ago has been under the protection of UNESCO since 1983. I have to say that as a history and architecture geek, it has been an absolute privilege to visit this stunning city on the coast of Bulgaria.

An extremely picturesque and photogenic city, I can’t even put it into words. You’ll just have to drive down there and see it for yourselves. If you can’t go anytime soon, then check out the photos I made, but I warn you: my mediocre camera does no justice to the place – which is absolutely stunning and worth a visit at least once in a lifetime!
